4月初旬の「初旬」を英語で言うと at the beginning of April それとも in the beginning of April?

at the beginning vs. in the beginning

at the beginning of April

4月中旬は in mid April、4月下旬は in late April になります。

in the beginning は通常 of ~ を後に伴いません。

in the beginning の意味は「最初に」、つまり、at first と同じような意味なのです。

In the beginning I was excited but in time I got bored with my job.

もし in the beginning of April を仮に使うなら、

In the beginning of April, I was excited, but eventually I was getting bored with the lesson.

At the beginning of the book there is a theme.

In the beginning, I thought Mr T was a thief but later I found him as a cop.

このように、at the beginning と in the beginning は全く意味が異なるのです。
